Deep purple colour. The bouquet is nicely ripe, juicy, quite rich and spicy. Dry spices, chocolate, dark cherry, even coffee. Dry in the mouth, stronger, the tannins are medium, the acids are higher, but the rich texture nicely “wraps” them. The character in the mouth is more intense. With a nice decline. Nicely made, classic refosco, which is not completely fresh, but also not ripe. In between and just right.
Matching with food: mutton, barbecue, pasta.
