Medium deep ruby colors with purple hues. The bouquet is medium accentuated, beautifully ripe, floral. Ripe dark red and black forest fruits, a nice touch of wood. Very nice. Dry in the mouth, firmer, firm, tasty. It works very ripe, with a hint of jam notes, but stays lively with a nice amount of acidity. With soft tannins and a long aftertaste. It is matured for 1 year in larger oak barrels, so we get a neat blue frankincense with a fruity aftertaste. Modra frankinja is an autochthonous Slovenian variety.
