4 Leg Santei

4 LEG is cuvée of 4 white grapes with an emphasis on local varieties grown in our 4 vineyards. The label features a four-legged bird drawn by our son Maks. 4 leg was made because we loved the 4-leg bird paining that our son Maks did, so much. Basis is chardonnay, but focus is on the indigenous grape varieties, to make the cuvee which we liked the most. Organic and Demeter certified.

4 LEG is a selection cuvée or blend of 4 grapes, with the emphasis on local varieties (Malvasia, Pinela and Rebula), while Chardonnay adds a regal character. The colour is a light golden yellow. Fruity notes such as pear, apple and quince predominate on the nose, followed by aromas of sweet hay, jujube and nuts, with a hint of acacia flower in the background. The wine is fresh on the palate, with good acidity and a hint of bittersweet caramel. Slightly tannic as a result of maceration, which further accentuates the body, the wine has a long finish.

Pairing with food: It is best matched with a warm starter like pasta or risotto, also shellfish, lean fish, poultry.
