JUG – Wine that turns the world around!

The Jug family lives in Kozjansko, in the small village of Dobležiče. It is united by multi-generational traditional farming, such as cattle breeding, pig breeding and viticulture. In the last period, however, with passion and dedication, they put emphasis on the development of viticulture and winemaking.
The vineyards, with a total size of 3 hectares, spread through part of the Virštanj wine-growing area, all the way from the village of Dobležiča, across Virštanj to Imenska gorce, and offer a rich range of grape varieties typical of the Virštanj wine-growing area, namely Laški Riesling, Rhine Riesling, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Yellow Muscat and blue frankincense.
From cutting to harvest, the vines are developed carefully, under the watchful eye and hardworking hands of the Jug family, and in gratitude bear the best fruits. Thus, the wines of the Jug family reflect not only a passion for winemaking, but also a respect for the land on which the vineyards grow.
